Country coach house showcases organic modernism at its best.

We knew when we were designing this kitchen that it would be seriously impressive when completed. And, having received the portfolio photos from David Murphy Studio, we’ve fallen in love with it all over again.
We finished this kitchen here in the South East of Ireland in the latter half of 2018. The house is stunning; it’s a modern-style barn-conversion. The owner has a great eye for design, so it was particularly exciting to be brought on board along with the team in Merrigan Phelan Architects to look after the project.

From our Concept Collection, we went with our black glass door fronts centred around the contrasting natural wood effect tall units that provide the perfect backdrop to the kitchen island. The countertops and island are Trilium by Dekton by Cosentino, finished beautifully with the waterfall edge encasing the units.
The dining table is an interesting piece in this kitchen too, as the client had already sourced the frame online and asked us to finish it with a high-quality tabletop.
The appliances we chose for this kitchen are the Siemens studioLine ovens with added steam functions and FlexInduction hob and the tap is the multifunctional Quooker Flex with instant boiling water, filtered drinking water and instant hot and cold mixer.
The colours, layout and design work perfectly in this space, with tonnes of natural light flooding in through the Raynaers aluminium slider doors from Zyle Fenster Ireland which are set beautifully just inside the old stone walls of this barn conversion.
We hope you love it as much as we do!
